2025 Cast Information

Rehearsals

Production numbers and some featured group numbers will be held on Saturday mornings. Other featured group numbers will be held on Friday evenings. All rehearsals below are mandatory.

For a school (such as HS placement test, ACT or SAT) or skating related absence, skaters must seek permission in writing from the Artistic Directors no later than October 1. Anyone violating this policy or missing more than one rehearsal may be asked to leave the cast. No refunds will be given. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO HAVE 100% ATTENDANCE.

Gingerbreads

will rehearse on Wednesdays 6:30-6:45PM instead of the above listed rehearsal times, beginning November 11/12. They will be required to attend the two dress rehearsals.

Aspire

Aspire numbers will rehearse on Saturday's from 10:00-10:30AM OR 10:40-11:20AM, depending on the group.

A detailed rehearsal schedule with specific times for each group will be posted before the first rehearsal on Friday, October 10. Skaters should expect to be available for the full time each rehearsal, unless otherwise noted. Dress warmly!

Soloist Program Bio Guidelines

Soloists should submit a digital photo and a brief bio to Ravnn Thorton at no later than November 14, 8:00 PM.The bio should include the following information, in the following order:

  • Skater's name and role in this year´s Nutcracker on Ice
  • Skater's school/grade
  • Previous roles in Nutcracker on Ice
  • Highest level of USFS test in moves, FS, dance, and free dance
  • Brief summary or highlights of competitive history
  • School honors - (i.e. Dean's list, honor roll student, straight A student, etc.)
  • Other activities and interests besides skating

Here is an example of the requested format

Susie Skater, THE RAT QUEEN, is an 11th grader North View High School. This is Susie's 8th appearance in the Nutcracker on Ice; her previous roles include Marzipan, Snow Queen, the Soldier Doll, an Arabian dancer, a fairy, and a mouse. Susie is a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field and has completed the Novice Free Skate and Silver Dance test, and is proud to be a 5 time Eastern Great Lakes Regional competitor.

Outside of skating, Susie is a dedicated student, carrying a strenuous load of AP courses and participating in Yearbook Staff and Peer Tutoring. In addition to skating, Susie also plays the piano and guitar, and enjoys songwriting, photography, and spending time with her dogs. She intends to major in Music at Butler University.
