Fire and Ice skaters glide Sunday

KCD student hopes to win at skating national championships
Motherly cajoling and sibling rivalry have helped catapult Christopher Elder, 9, into next week's U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships. Christopher, of Anchorage, was encouraged at age 5 to take up skating by his mother, Yana Elder, a Russian-born figure skater.
