LSA's Winter Skating Camp is for beginner level ice skaters ages 3 through 13. This camp is appropriate for children who are interested in acquiring fundamental skills for recreational skating, figure skating and/or hockey. No previous skating experience is necessary. Skaters meet Tuesday through Thursday for on-ice and off-ice instruction and fun. Camp is located at Iceland Sports Complex, 1701 UPS Drive.
LSA has a high-quality team of instructors and is recognized as an “Excellence on Ice” training facility by the Professional Skaters Association.

Winter Skating Camp Curriculum
The LSA's Winter Skating Camp is focused on the FUN and FUNDAMENTALS of ice skating. Skaters are divided into classes based on age, experience and skill level. No prior skating experience is necessary to enroll. Skaters who have experience at the basic skills levels up through the Preliminary free skate level are welcome.
Classes will follow the United States Figure Skating Association’s Skate With U.S. program. Skaters who have not taken lessons previously will start in either “Tots” for those ages 3 through 5 or “Basic 1” for those ages 6 through 13. Skills will include forward skating, backward skating, stops, glides, curves, turns, hops, etc.
Skaters with lesson experience will be placed in the appropriate level from Basic 1 through competitive free skate test.

Payment Information
Full payment must accompany registration. There will be no rebates, substitutions or make-ups for missed sessions. Space is limited. There will be no refunds after November 1, 2011.
Camp Fee: $100 per skater
Basic Skills Membership: Skaters must be current members of LSA Basic Skills Group or members of LSA to participate in camp and other LSA programs. The membership year runs July 1-June 30. The annual basic skills membership fee is $20.00
Family Discount: Families who enroll more than one child will pay $15 less for each additional child.
