If member is under age 18, at least one parent must join as a "Parent" member.

Collegiate Member

The Collegiate membership is designed to maintain a skater's connection to LSA after they enter college by providing a steeply discounted membership rate that carries all the benefits of full membership. Collegiate members must be enrolled as full-time students at an accredited two-year or four-year institution. In addition, they must have been a Full member of LSA for the preceding year prior to registering for Collegiate membership. (Skaters who do not meet this requirement may petition the Board of Directors for a waiver.) LSA Membership Information

Louisville Skating Academy (LSA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of figure skating in the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area by encouraging an environment of good sportsmanship while striving to provide training opportunities to meet the needs of all levels of skaters in achieving their personal goals from recreational skating to competition at national and international events.

LSA is a member club of U.S. Figure Skating (USFS). All members of LSA will become members of USFS. U.S. Figure Skating is the national governing body for skating on ice in the United States as designated by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the International Skating Union (ISU). USFS is responsible for selecting the teams that represent the United States at the Olympic Winter Games, the World Championships and other major national and international figure skating events.

Members of LSA support figure skating and the club. LSA offers various levels of membership as outlined below. To become a member of LSA a membership application including all supporting documents must be completed, along with payment in full and mailed to the membership chair. The membership chair will process the USFS membership registrations of its members. Shortly thereafter, USFS will issue a membership card with a membership number to each member. Please keep this card as the membership number is required for competition, test applications and access to your personal skating record on the U.S. Figure Skating website (www.usfigureskating.org).

Club Events and Operation

As a member of LSA, you will receive email notifications regarding club competitions, shows and other events in which you can participate. Please remember to keep LSA apprised of your current email address so that you do not miss any of this information.

LSA is a non-profit organization run almost entirely by volunteers. The continued vitality and successful operation of the club depends upon the volunteer support of the members. Please answer the call to help with the club operations and all of the club events. Consider participating as a board member, a committee chair or in any of the many, many supporting roles in which LSA needs volunteers.
