LSA Mission Statement
Louisville Skating Academy is a non profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of figure skating in the Louisville area by encouraging an environment of good sportsmanship while providing training opportunities to meet the needs of all levels of skaters in achieving their personal goals from recreational skating to competition at national and international events. LSA’s first line of communication is its web site www.skatelouisville.org. You are invited to visit this site often for all the latest information on upcoming events, ice contracts, newsletters, Learn to Skate, Bridge, LSA Handbook, and much more. Secondly, LSA utilizes email to notify members of new web site postings, urgent issues, such as last minute schedule changes, matters of interest and routine communications. Please provide the LSA Membership Chair with your current email address. For those without email access we will attempt to contact you by phone.
LSA is a not for profit, 501 c3, figure skating club that is a member of U.S. Figure Skating (USFS). U.S. Figure Skating is recognized by the International Skating Union (ISU), and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the governing body of figure skating in the United States. Since LSA is a member of U.S. Figure Skating, it directly facilitates U.S. Figure Skating programs, test sessions, sanctioned competitions and shows for its membership and abides by all U.S. Figure Skating rules. Consequently, all LSA members must also have U.S. Figure Skating membership. LSA collects annual U.S. Figure Skating registration fees along with LSA annual dues and handles the registration and transfer of fees for you.

Location & Driving Directions
Louisville Skating Academy is based at Iceland Sports Complex, 1701 UPS Drive.
FROM I-64 EAST
- Take I-64 East to Louisville, crossing over Ohio River, pass through downtown Louisville
- From Downtown, continue on I-64 East for approximately 11 miles
- Take Hurstbourne North exit (Exit 15 / UofL Shelby Campus & Middletown)
- Stay on Hurstbourne for 3.3 miles, crossing Shelbyville Road
- Take Left onto second Ormsby Station Road entrance across from McDonald’s
- Take Right onto UPS Drive
- Rink is second building on Right

FROM I-64 WEST
- Take I-64 West towards Louisville
- Take Hurstbourne North exit (Exit 15 / UofL Shelby Campus/Middletown)
- Turn right onto Hurstbourne Lane off ramp
- Stay on Hurstbourne for approximately 3.3 miles, crossing Shelbyville Rd
- Take Left onto second Ormsby Station Road entrance across from McDonald’s
- Take Right onto UPS Drive
- Rink is second building on Right

FROM I-75 NORTH
- Take I-75 North towards Lexington, KY
- I-75 merges with I-64 West on the Northeast side of Lexington
- After the exits for Lexington, I-75 splits off to the right towards Cincinnati, while
I-64 West continues to Louisville. Be sure to stay in left two lanes at the split to continue to Louisville.
- Follow directions for I-64 West

FROM I-71 / I-75 SOUTH
- Take I-71 / I-75 South through Cincinnati
- Once in Kentucky, take exit 173 (I-71 South) at the 71/75 splittoward Louisville (right lanes)
- Stay on I-71 South for approximately 68 miles
- Take exit 9A to I-265 South (also named Gene Snyder Freeway – KY 841 South)
- Drive approximately 1/4 mile to Exit 34 (Brownsboro Rd – KY 22 West)
- Drive (going west) approximately ½ mile to the 2nd traffic light then turn left onto North Hurstbourne Parkway
- Stay on Hurstbourne for approximately 3.2 miles to the 3rd traffic light
- Take right onto Ormsby Station Road across from McDonald’s drive 1/4 mile
- Take right onto UPS Drive
- Rink is 2nd building on Right

FROM I-65 NORTH
- Take I-65 North to Louisville
- Take Watterson Expressway East (I-264 East) Exit 131A
- Follow Watterson to I-64 East (Exit 19A / To Lexington)
- Take I-64 East for 2 miles
- Take Hurstbourne North (Exit 15 / UofL Shelby Campus/Middletown)
- Follow I-64 East directions

FROM I-65 SOUTH
- Take I-65 South, crossing over Ohio River to Louisville
- As you’re crossing the bridge, get in the Right lane
- At the end of the bridge, take the I-64 East exit (To Lexington)
- Continue on I-64 East
- Follow directions for I-64 East
